iPhone Photography

More than a decade ago, I enrolled in photography classes with the Smithsonian Studio Arts program.  The classes were fun and affordable and I learned so much.  I loved being in the dark room and you could find me there during the open dark room hours printing away.  Had you been a fly on the wall back then you would have heard me swear I’d never be shooting digitally. I loved the serenity of the dark room too much to ever be a slave to the computer.

Although I still love shooting film, I do now primarily photograph digitally these days (but I do lament the hours spent in front of the computer!). One digital camera I always have with me is my iPhone.  I spend a lot of time walking around the DC and it’s nice to have a camera with me at all times.

So you might be wondering where I am going with all of this. Where do the darkroom and iPhone photography intersect? Well, today the Smithsonian Studio Arts blog posted about iPhotography and this photo I took last October.
