Leesburg Virginia Wedding at the Thomas Birkby House

Kayla & Aaron’s wedding at the Thomas Birkby House in Leesburg, Virginia was simply gorgeous.  I can’t wait to share it all with you but in the meantime, here are a couple of favorites I just couldn’t resist posting.

A Connecticut Wedding at Water’s Edge Resort :: Washington DC Wedding Photographers

I met Amanda a few years ago when she was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed.  She remembered me and the photos I took at Mike & Keely’s wedding at Linganore Winecellars and contacted me to see about photographing her wedding in Connecticut.  Chris Williams (Zoeica Images) and I were thrilled to be able to photograph both their engagement session in New York City where they live and their rehearsal dinner and wedding in Connecticut this past October.

Both the rehearsal dinner and reception were held on the grounds of the Water’s Edge Resort & Spa in Westbrook, Connecticut.  The ceremony was held at St. John’s Church in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. Amanda & Kunal’s wedding combined the traditions and cultures of both of their families.  Friends and family traveled from India and across the US to see Amanda & Kunal tie the knot.  There was a lot of fun and a lot of dancing!  And can you believe these gorgeous flowers!? Rebecca Abel Floral Design is another DC area vendor who traveled up to Connecticut for Amanda & Kunal’s wedding.  Rebecca happens to be Amanda’s sister-in-law as well.  I was simply blown away by the gorgeousness of the florals.

So, a lot of photos to share – starting with the rehearsal dinner bonfire on the beach.  It was an amazing wedding and Chris & I were so privileged to have been there to photograph it all.Connecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at WaterConnecticut Wedding at Water

Capitol Hill Portrait Photographer :: 2013 Year In Revew :: The Babies

Some of my most fun sessions are with my tiniest clients.  I just love to photograph babies, in their homes where they are comfy and warm.  I’ll spotlight some of the families and the interaction with moms and dads later in my 2013 review, but for this post, I just wanted to focus on the tiny fingers and teeny toes.  Little ears. Little nose.

Simply adorable.

Capitol Hill Portrait Photographer :: 2013 Year In Review :: The Pets

So, I got a little behind in blogging this fall.  It’s been a crazy few months, with weddings, travel, and lots and lots of family portrait sessions!  I have so many fun sessions to share with you all, but I thought I’d start off with a year in review and post some of my favorite moments from this year.  I’m starting off with a few of my favorite furry friends.

Dogs (and even a few cats) have made cameo appearances at many of my portrait and engagement sessions (and even some weddings!) over the years.  W.C. Fields might have warned “Never work with children or animals” but I find such joy in working with both!

Over the next few weeks, I will be posting some of my favorite wedding, babies, children, family, travel, and personal imagery from 2013.

Four Seasons Magazine Features Daniel & Brian’s Wedding

Daniel & Brian’s gorgeous Four Seasons Washington wedding was just featured in the Four Seasons Weddings Magazine!  This was one of my favorite weddings Chris Williams (Zoeica Images) and I photographed this year and we are so thrilled to see it featured.
